Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Bali
Tegalalang rice terraces paddies (terracing) a little more difficult to find in Bali, with the most impressive being in Jatiluwih, Tegalalang and Sidemen. A complex irrigation system, known by locals as "Subak" which has been recognized by UNESCO and added to the World Heritage list in 2012.
Innovative water treatment system began in the 9th century and divert water from the mountain to the people below. In this way, ensure equity for all and not just for those who are close to the water source.
Subak reflect prospective Bali and folosofi life called "Tri Hita Karana", living in harmony which includes the balance of the spiritual world of human relationships with humans, humans with God, and humans with nature.
The most beautiful view can be seen when rice began to turn green and the time before harvest, wishing it to linger to enjoy the beauty of "natural painting" in Tegalalang.
