Visiting unique tours in Bali, you must come to Goa Gala-Gala Underground House Nusa Lembongan. As the name implies, Goa Gala-Gala is a house in the underground (underground house). This unique house is a spectacular work of a puppeteer named Mangku Byasa (deceased).
As a puppeteer, Mangku Byasa is accustomed to bringing the story of a puppet that carries the story of Mahabharata.
Even with the making of this underground house, whose ideas are inspired from the story of the Pandavas in the epic Mahabharata.
It is said that at one time Pandawa lost a bet with Kurawa. The punishment is that the entire Pandawa family is challenged to live in the forest for 12 years. To protect the whole family from the ever-present threat, Pandavas finally made an underground cave called Goa Gala-Gala.
The underground house built by Mangku Byasa takes 15 years of work. He began to build from 1961 to finish in 1976. As a farmer, puppeteer and a priest, who would have thought a Mangku Byasa able to carve a very extraordinary work.
Goa Gala-Gala Underground House has 3 entrances, 7 meters in depth, and a building height of 1-2 meters. There are several passages that are shorter than the size of an adult so when entering it should be slightly ducked. There is already lighting but in some parts is still a bit dark because the lighting has not been maximized.
